Liberty Counsel: Humanists “playing Scrooge” this Christmas season

by D. Bennett

The Liberty Counsel claims that the American Humanist Association’s ad campaign has gone too far this holiday season.

The AHA has advertisements out around the country on city buses, depicting people in Santa hats with the caption: “No God? No Problem. Just be good for goodness sake.”

“When most people are celebrating the Christmas spirit of joy and love,” the Counsel writes, “the American Humanist Association is playing the role of Scrooge by placing anti-God ads on city buses.”

The Liberty Counsel says that the AHA’s “temper tantrum” will not succeed since “most Americans believe in God and celebrate Christmas.”
