CBN: Religious freedom (and violations)

Christians have mixed feelings about a “Day of Islamic Unity” rally scheduled for Sept. 25 in Washington, D.C. Around 50,000 Muslims are expected to attend.

Voice of the Martyrs is urging the Obama administration to discuss religious persecution when they meet with Iranian delegates next month. They also ask Christians to write letters to Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad protesting Iran’s human rights violations.

A U.K. nurse has been asked to take off her cross necklace at work. The nurse, Shirley Chaplin, “has never injured herself or another patient in three decades of nursing, while wearing the one-inch silver cross,“ CBN says.
